A year at our school

Education Week Celebrations
At Glenroy Public School, Education Week is a special time to come together as a community and celebrate the joy of learning. This year, our school embraced the occasion with a vibrant breakfast event followed by open classrooms, inviting families to experience the wonderful learning happening every day.

NAIDOC Week
At Glenroy Public School, NAIDOC Week is a meaningful time to honour and celebrate the rich culture, history, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our community comes together with respect and pride to learn, reflect, and embrace the stories that connect us all.

PSSA
Glenroy Public School is proud to participate in the PSSA, where our students demonstrate great sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our young athletes to develop skills, build friendships, and represent our school with pride.

Glenroy Public School Production: "Dorothy and the Quest for Real Magic"
In Term 3, Glenroy Public School proudly presented our school production, Dorothy and the Quest for Real Magic. Our students delivered a fantastic performance, bringing to life a magical story about friendship, courage, and self-belief.
With vibrant costumes, lively music, and heartfelt acting, the production was a wonderful showcase of our students’ creativity and teamwork. We are incredibly proud of all the students, staff, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event a great success.
Thank you to all the families and community members who came along to support and celebrate the talents of our young performers. Your encouragement made the experience even more special!
We look forward to more exciting events and productions in the future at Glenroy Public School.
"Throughout my years at Glenroy Public School, I’ve experienced various extraordinary activities that I will carry with me long after my graduation. For example, we have reward days, an amazing student base and supportive staff that are always prepared to assist pupils.
What makes our school special is its special excursions/incursions which we call Reward Days, where we do numerous activities such as color runs, themed mufti days, baking sessions, popcorn and movies and trips to the local park. These events hold a special place in our hearts as they create long-lasting memories and fun experiences. The very fact that we have the opportunity to encounter such things is what makes this school so incredible.
My favorite thing about attending Glenroy Public School, is not necessarily its educational system (although I do feel quite highly about it) it’s the students that I have spent the majority of my schooling with. The welcoming and bubbly atmosphere that surrounds all of my peers is truly sensational. Being able to communicate with my friends in a sociable environment is more comforting than any blanket ever made.
Whenever you’re upset in any way, there’s always teachers or SLSOS’s prepared to turn that frown upside down. Although incidents between students occur, the staff make sure that whatever the issue is, becomes resolved.
Glenroy Public School is but it’s also been a core part of my youth, education and happiness. I will miss this dearly after I graduate.” — a Xanthe Tran, Year 6 Student of Glenroy Public School
