Glenroy Public School is a primary school located in North Albury, New South Wales, within the Riverina region.

Glenroy Public School is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where every child can flourish. Our emphasis on social, emotional, and wellbeing support ensures that each child feels appreciated and cared for. We firmly believe that a positive school experience is essential for lifelong learning and achievement. The school maintains a strong commitment to student wellbeing and attendance, with a dedicated Attendance Coordinator and Aboriginal Education Officer collaborating with families to promote regular attendance. 

Our passionate and committed staff work together to create a safe and stimulating learning environment that inspires all students to reach their full potential across academic, cultural, social, emotional and sporting pursuits.   • Our dedicated educators use explicit teaching methods tailored to meet the needs of all students, ensuring everyone can thrive. 
  • In 2024, over two-thirds of Year 3 students achieved a strong or exceeding ranking in reading on the NAPLAN results. 
  • More than half of Year 5 students attained a strong or exceeding level, with 28% of Aboriginal students placed in the top three bands.

  • Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds. There are a small number of English as an Additional Language or Dialect students and 30% Aboriginal students.

  • Students have the opportunity to participate in the Primary Schools Sports Association sporting days, sports carnivals, watching and participating in school performance, school camps, and various fun and engaging excursions that connect to students learning. 
  • We highly value student leadership and voice, offering opportunities for all students to actively contribute to our school through the Student Representative Council, Sports Leaders, and School Captains. 

Support for all learners

  • Recognising that remarkable journeys often begin with small steps, our Tiny Treasures program aims to ensure a smooth transition for both students and parents into the school setting. 
  • We assist Year 6 students as they move to high school through various initiatives, including, Hive, orientation sessions, and cross-school collaboration. 
  • Customised learning plans are in place to promote the growth of all student, fostering confidence, resilience, and preparation for their future.
